Welcome to the orca onboarding for your inventory.
Your preparation for the inventory.
The BMW Group carries out inventories by company (e.g. BMW AG or BMW Motoren GMBH). There are different start dates for the inventories of the individual companies. The link to the individual inventories per company can be found at the top of this page.
General information.
Determine responsibilities.
For suppliers there are basically 4 roles in orca :
Administrator - creates locations and users
Tool coordinator - controls and manages the entire inventory
Tool supervisor - controls individual inventory orders and tools (optional)
Stocktaker - physically carries out the stocktake
Think about how you want to position yourself in your company. One person can also take on several roles. It is important that you appoint a tool coordinator in preparation for the inventory. This person can then create all other users through his or her function as administrator.
A first overview.
1 - In the "Tooling" area you will find all tools from all BMW companies in your company.
2 - In the "Company" area you will find important information about the structure of your company in orca - locations, users, suppliers are visible there. Locations and users are also stored under this menu.
3 - All open stocktaking orders can be found under "Inventory procedure".
4 - Under this button you can call up the orca instructions.
5 - You control your inventory via "User tasks". You will be notified (red symbol) when new tasks are available for processing.
6 - At this button you will find your profile and you can logout from orca.
